If YOU’RE PLANNING A WEDDING AT ST LUKES IN GLASGOW, YOU’LL FIND TONS OF INSPO FROM THIS WEDDING!
Laura and Adam got married at St Lukes in Glasgow right beside the famous Barrowlands, St Lukes is an old church which was refurbished into an awesome city centre location, lots of cool city vibes and epic lighting!
Laura and Adam
Laura and Adam got in touch with me a while ago, its always good to get a wee enquiry or two but this was a special one as we were all pals growing up! Theres always a little more pressure when you are taking pictures of people who you know – even worse when you then know their friends and family too! Ahhh
In the run up to the day I met Laura and she told me they were both excited for the wedding but she was a little nervous for the pictures as they were not lovely dovey and she was a little worried about the planned weather forecast for the day.
Little did she know those two would be winching all day and the weather would be glorious!
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, I had a wee tear in my eye when Adam first saw Laura walking down the aisle as he was overcome with emotion. One of my favourite parts of the ceremony was when Laura and Adam got in trouble for kissing too early – Adam was too excited to wait!
AFTER THE CEREMONY
The couple had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. The dance floor was jam packed all night so that should tell you how epic the music was. For dinner they had a slap up meal, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. They finished off the evening with some epic dance moves with all their best friends.
Weddings at St Lukes are amazing, because you can do so much to the venue to make it your own. Laura and Adam decorated the area with a beautiful floral archway and some more of their own personal touches like the table decorations – I believe a lot of drinking was involved in creating the centre pieces.
Laura wore a beautiful detailed lace dress and Adam wore a traditional Scottish kilt and they looked really incredible. Laura wore a personalised leather jacket and had a beautiful broach detail on her flowers to have a piece of her gran there with her on the day – I loved this touch!
WHY ST LUKES IS A GREAT PLACE TO GET MARRIED
St Lukes has a really vibrant atmosphere, and is one of the coolest places to get married in Glasgow. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there are loads of amazing places close by that are perfect for photos.
