“One of the most unexpected and beautiful surprises came the day after our wedding. We received a message from Kirsty saying she had set up something special for us. The day of our wedding was incredibly windy, and since we had an outdoor ceremony by the sea, many of our guests likely couldn’t hear much of what was said. To make it even more challenging, the celebrant forgot to give us the chance to say our personal vows that we had written for each other.

In the midst of the chaos, as we finished walking down the aisle and preparing for the confetti shots, Kirsty reassured us, saying, “Don’t worry, you can still say them to each other later in the day, and it will be even more intimate.” She was absolutely right. That moment ended up being one of the most special parts of our day. We stepped away from the whirlwind of everything and shared our vows privately, just the two of us. It was such a beautiful, quiet moment that we’ll never forget.

What we didn’t know was that Kirsty had been quietly capturing little video snippets throughout the entire day — moments we had no idea she was filming. She’d recorded these intimate, candid moments, along with some lovely homemade details around our venue. The next day, she sent us a video she had created, and it was absolutely breathtaking. She had overlaid the video with our vows and it was just the most unexpected, heartfelt surprise.

We were speechless, in tears, and completely overwhelmed by how perfect it was. Originally, we hadn’t planned on getting a videographer to save a little money, but after seeing what Kirsty did, we couldn’t recommend Kirsty’s hybrid package enough! The day went by so quickly, and by the next morning, I felt a little sad, like I had missed or forgotten so much. But when we saw Kirsty’s video, all those moments came flooding back — our friends laughing, everyone smiling, no one standing around bored, just joy and fun everywhere. We’re so grateful to have that forever, and everyone who’s seen it has been moved to tears. It’s a memory we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives.
